Seomra Oráiste is one of our smaller ECCE rooms, accommodating 11 children with 1 qualified staff member. Incorporating Play, Montessori and Naíonra. Fun, educational activities created using Aistear and Síolta based curriculum. The children take part in Christmas concerts and Preschool Graduations.

Children’s art fills the walls, giving the children a sense of pride in their work. Family pictures make up our family wall that the children can access at any time. Promoting independence and life skills. Large outdoor space for play including a Fairy Garden. Great opportunity for socialisation and a great stepping stone for primary school.

The children are encouraged to participate in free play and tuff tray activities. Children are given the opportunity to make their own decisions about their learning – emerging curriculum.

Classes spend as much time as possible outside during the day no matter the weather. Children love to examine and explore the great outdoors.

We maintain the highest hygiene standards in our classrooms and have daily and weekly cleaning schedules

ECCE children must be toilet trained and be able to use the toilet independently.

We use an app called Childpaths to help communicate with parents. This app allows the staff in the room to upload pictures and daily information like activities and snacks to the child’s profile, that parents can log in and see during the day. To keep all the classrooms and children in our care safe, we operate a sickness and illness policy that states ‘If a child has suffered from vomiting, diarrhoea, fever or any other illness, she/he must not attend the crèche until the symptoms have ceased for 48 hours and normal eating habits have resumed’

Bellview Woods Childcare is an active participant of AIM (Access and Inclusion Model). The goal of AIM is to create a more inclusive environment in pre-schools, so all children, regardless of ability, can benefit from quality early learning and care. The model achieves this by providing universal supports to pre-school settings, and targeted supports, which focus on the needs of the individual child, without requiring a diagnosis of disability.
